Best New Isekai/Fantasy Anime for 2024

Nothing makes sense, what do you have to do, what do you have to do? The year 2024 brought a unique blend of escapism and adventure, making us witness a new wave of creativity and narrative skill, transporting viewers to unexplored lands and unimaginable realms, to a world where the impossible becomes possible. What is that thing? Is it another of the Abyss King's monsters?

That's just a Forest Beast, like a bear. Look, it's all right. Welcome to Animology, and today we're going to explore the latest and greatest in the genre of Oriental Fantasy, where every tale is a doorway to wonder and excitement.

10. O jeito errado de usar magia de cura

Sometimes being ordinary isn't so bad, a lesson that the high school student known as Ken Usato learned. It later became obvious to our protagonist that he was painfully ordinary in every sense of the word. What's more, he had a great dislike for those who were better than him. One rainy day, Usato happened to meet two of his classmates, and that's when the unthinkable happened. A magic circle was formed, summoning the trio to a fantasy world. But of course Usato was only brought there by accident, as the main target of the spell was the other two extraordinary people. However, Usato wasn't as useless as he thought.

9. The New Gate

Working to bring back the long-forgotten game of life and death to the 1920s is New Gate, an online game that has been intentionally turned into a battle of life and death for its players. However, our protagonist, Shin, and his heroic efforts, put an end to the tyrannical game, granting every surviving player another chance at life.

8. Relaxando em outro mundo com poderes de super trapaça de nível dois

Living in a world where summoning Heroes is seen as an annual tradition, we have Banaza, one of the many Heroes that the Royal Capital Paluma had summoned to help the kingdom. However, our protagonist doesn't really fit the profile. Banaza is an incredibly useless individual, with no magic, no fighting skills and, worst of all, incredibly low stats.

7. As a reincarnated aristocrat, I will use my evaluation skills to ascend in the world

After dying as a simple salaried man, our protagonist was reborn as Ars Lent, the son of a nobleman. Now, mind you, our protagonist is by no means a superpowered beast, but he does have something that no one else has: the infamous ability to evaluate.

6. No longer allowed in another world

An ideal heaven would be anyone's dream, but not for our strangely melancholy protagonist, Osamu Dazai. This man is as tired as can be, with the eternal desire to die at any moment, but he simply can't achieve his lifelong dream of sweet relief from death.

5. I was reincarnated as the seventh prince so that I could perfect my magical skills

Unlike your average isekai, our protagonist wasn't from the world we're familiar with. In fact, he was always familiar with the concept of magic, as he just wanted to study its mechanics all the time.

4. Dahlia In Bloom

Crafting a new beginning with magical tools, here we have a heartbreaking story of our character Dahlia, who after dying of overwork in Japan, is reborn in a world full of magic.

3. Tales of the Wedding Ring

Our protagonist Haruto Sato is a true lover and would do anything for love. Sato has always been in love with his neighbor and childhood friend, but confessing became a worry simply because he didn't have the courage to say those words to a girl he had loved all his life.

2. My instant death ability is so powerful that no one in this world stands a chance against me

There's nothing like waking up to find that you've been left as bait for an angry Dragon, a situation that Yoi Takato is all too familiar with after he and his classmates were transported to another world. Takow and his classmate were brutally abandoned by the people they considered to be their friends.

1. Suicide Squad Isekai

In a city where crime is the norm, we have a group of notorious criminals such as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Playface and King Shark. This group was formed by Amanda Waller, the head of Gotham City's Argus. These villains were assembled for a mission: to cross a gate that connects our world to a realm in another world. A realm where Orcs Rampage, dragons rule the skies and magic dominates a reality very different from our own. But of course the villains wouldn't obey for no reason.
